The Washington University Danforth Campus Bookstore and Medical Bookstore staff would like to congratulate all graduates on their academic achievement. An important tradition of the graduation ceremony is the academic regalia required for participation. A distinctive Washington University gown may be purchased or rented. Please read the information below carefully to ensure that you will have the proper regalia for Commencement. Purchasing is the best option for those graduates and alumni who will be going into or are currently in academia and will need the regalia for future events.

Medical Campus
February 20-22, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Medical Bookstore

Rental Regalia Returns
May 16-17
Rental regalia MUST be returned following your final ceremony. On May 16, return regalia to the Gargoyle, lower level of Mallinckrodt Center; additional sites will be available for returns on the Quadrangle and near the law school. For Medical School, return regalia to the Medical Bookstore or to America's Center following the 3:00 p.m. Commencement Recognition Ceremony (for M.D. and Ph.D. degrees). On May 17, return regalia to the Danforth Campus Store in Mallinckrodt Center or the Medical Bookstore. (Details will be given at time of pick-up.)

Rental Price List (prices subject to change)

There are options to purchase regalia starting at a price of $490.50. For more information, call (314) 935-4561 (Danforth) or (314) 362-3240 (Medical). Credit card information is required at time of rental in order to ensure the return of regalia following the commencement ceremony.

Late fees will be assessed for orders received after March 3.

Refund Policy: Orders may be canceled and rental fee refund requested, but the request must be received in writing by May 5, 2008. No other refund request will be accepted. Please allow 30 days after Commencement for the refund to be processed. No refund will be made in case of rain. No refund will be made to those ordering academic attire but failing to attend the Commencement exercises.
